Getting started

Only runs on Windows 10 or above. Download the installer and run it. It is not malware, I swear. Then, dive right in. Requires a mouse. No keyboard.

Movement

Right click to grapple onto enemies and walls.

Left click to blast enemies and bounce off walls.

That is all.

Mastering the rhythm between grappling enemies and blasting them will be the key to your success.

Suggestions

This is an unintentional rage game. I strongly suggest turning on Practice Mode in the options menu while you are experiencing the game for the first time. While I have been making sure that the game is more beginner friendly, it is still very much skill and reaction based. Practice Mode will make you completely invincible, meaning you can take your time without being punished.

All assets (other than those in Special Thanks) have been made by me, as a challenge to see if I could make a game with very little external resources.

DISCLAIMER

All of the programming, sprite work and SFX are made by one very overworked person. Bugs, goofy audio or visual ugliness may arise. The SFX are meant to be a placeholder due to the inability to use external resources and as such should not be treated as the intended SFX

HOW TO GET THE TRUE ENDING?

In Episode 3, you must find a door in the corridor with the swarm of constructs, and a weird looking construct surrounded by lasers in a later room (you'll know it when you see it). Then, proceed to the Episode 3 boss as normal.

CHEATS

• Press the backspace key during the Empress' boss room to toggle the true ending without needing to complete both requirements (but it is strongly recommended to do the requirements because they are cool).
• Pause the game while you are dying, go back to the main menu to unlock a secret slowmode

KNOWN BUGS

• The door event in Episode 3 shows a white background instead of the intended backgrounds
• The door event in Episode 3 has the text appear and disappear faster than intended
• The lasers fired by the Episode 1 boss very rarely kill you even if you are not in their line of attack (visual bug, you are)
• The last boss fight in Episode 4 rarely attacks
• Bosses ignoring your shield is not a bug
